    Marie Catherine Laveau, 1801-1881,
    was a dedicated
    Louisiana Creole
    practitioner of
    Voodoo
    , an herbalist and midwife.  She who was renowned in
    New Orleans
    .
    She was a free woman of color of African, Native American, and French descent.
    She quickly grew to dominate voodoo culture and society in the New Orleans area, where she became the queen of voodoo.
    She was known, feared and loved by both whites and blacks in her home city, and people from all walks of life called on her for advice, assistance and healing.
    This is a 64-page book called THE REVISED BLACK AND WHITE MAGIC ~ MARIE LAVEAU
    .  It was privately printed by the author in 1970 and staple-bound between two paper covers.  The staples have rusted and the cover is spotted, but it's still a woonderful, scarce antiquarian / collectible find!  It's the revised edition of the book which has been used for many years by those who want clear and easy to understand rituals for accomplishing aims by magical means.  Information about how to use roots, oils, powders, incense, herbs and candles.  From the notebooks of Marie Laveau.
