    Description

    From the Moro people of the Sulu Archipelago, one of the finest original Barongs we have offered.
    The leaf shaped blade seems to show evidence of the folding process involved with hand forging.
    The silver banded Cockatoo Hilt is of select Bantu wood and is undamaged. The wood scabbard is original to the sword and finely carved at the throat and tip. The scabbard is banded in tightly woven multi colored cane weaving on the face and plain banded weave on the back. In overall excellent condition with only one small spot of pitting, as shown.
