    Description

    Beautifully made, sturdy brass and copper crab trinket box with inlaid abalone shell on the claws, eyes, carapace and paddle fins.  There are two stamps on the underside of one leg but I cannot decipher them.  Shown 12x magnified.
    I am confident that this was made by Los Castillo of Taxaco, Mexico.  When you can find these, they run around 00.
    About 9.5x6.25x3.25"  Weighs a little over a pound.   Inlay work is perfect, and there are no dents or defects in the brass.
