    Description

    Features an ornate brass Aztec or Mayan Calendar set into the hinged lid, that works great.  The box is wood lined and has turquoise square tiles.  I can’t tell if the tiles are actual turquoise or turquoise colored glass.  Either way, it is beautiful.  No missing tiles, some patina on the metal.  Overall very good condition.
    It measures approx. 5 3/8" x 3 7/8" and measures 1 5/8" tall.  It weights 12.8 ounces.
    Hinge works great and wood liner is in great condition.  The brass shows some age with a lovely patina.  The wood inside measures 4 3/4" x 3 1/4" x 7/8" deep.
    Perfect size for treasures, jewelry, trinkets, cigarettes, playing cards, etc.  Please let me know if you have questions.
    My best guess is that it is vintage and that it is from Mexico.
