Description
This trinket box was made in Mexico City for the W.G. Walz Company of El Paso Texas in the early 10900. The Walz company was a catalog company. They had catalogs for Indian North America, Indian Handcrafts and handcrafts Mexico. You can look up the catalog in the Smithsonian Libraries. I did not find the actual trinket box in the catalog. This was made early 1900’s.It is all tooled leather on outside. The inside has leather and suede. It does have a metal snap on outside, but do not see the other part. Really in great condition. No major issues.
Measures 9 inches long when open and measured flat.
1 inch deep
1 inch height.
Double compartments measure. 33/4x21/2 x 1 inch deep.
